North German Plain, June 23rd 1985, D+ 13: The second Express to leave the NATO station was bound for Herford. It was due to depart in the early hours June 23rd. and was primarily made up of the US 8th Mech Div (reinforced) from CENTAG. It was hoped that by waiting about 15 hours before introducing this new threat the Warsaw Pact would dispatch their reserves to the north. However, there were not a lot of reserves to go around, so again the WP scrounged what forces could be found to try to counter the attack from the south. [Size, medium]. Play as Human vs. Human.

Nice both sides get to attack and defend. A good scenario for a mirror match.
An experienced NATO player should have no difficulties at all to get a major win. But maybe I just play WP badly....
Superb defensive effort by Walter Model!
"Artillerymen believe the world consists of two kinds of people: other artillerymen and targets."
I'm honestly not sure if it's possible to save the Brits in Hereford, but the flexibility and strength of the US forces will eventually dominate the Pact forces. If the Russians make any mistakes you have to pounce on them and make it costly.
The Pact player should be prepared to make sacrifices, but always with an eye towards buying time. The NATO player must use his mobility and firepower to get north as fast as possible. The British can not be saved against a competent Pact player.
