10 June 1985, Berlin, Operation Werewolf: Political tensions have been growing more stressfull and Warsaw Pact units continue their maneuvers. The Berlin garrison is on alert. During the past week large containers have been arriving at all three Berlin airports and taken away to the military training areas west of the city. And, even though the political crisis has got people nervous, the tourism industry does not seem to be affected as hundreds of young men in ill-fitting sports coats continue to arrive. What most people don't realize is that these young men belong to the 10th Panzergrenadierbrigade. NATO has a surprise for the Warsaw Pact should they decide that now is the time to start a war. Operation Werewolf is under way. [NOTES: NATO ammo and fuel dumps are worth 300 VPs; barracks are worth 100 VPs; airports are worth 200 VPs. The City Center is worth 500 VPs (100 point objectives). SYSTEM CHANGES: (1) NATO company-sized formations, with the exception of the West German brigade, have been coded as battalions for combat resolution purposes. Therefore, they can not be combined. (2) ZOC's are not locking. A unit may move through an enemy ZOC using all of its movement allowance. So, keep units in contact with each other to protect their flanks. (3) An anti-tank ditch around West Berlin represents the Wall.] Special thanks to Marc "Bayonet" Bellizzi for his assistance.
