West of Caen: D+21, June 27th, 1944 - Operation EPSOM: Overnight on the 26th-27th June the troops of the 15th Scottish Division were relieved by other units of the Corps. At day-break, the Scots once again attempted to seize the crossings over the Odon. Tanks of the 11th Armored Division and the 4th Armoured Brigade stood by, ready to rush forward and exploit any success against a stubborn German defense. The Germans could not believe that the British did not press forward with the attack into night. The lost momentum gave the SS defenders valuable time again to regroup their battered forces. *Designers Note: Impassable hexes are used on either side of the German line to restrict the Allied advance to the historical area of concentration. Playable from either side or H2H, but most enjoyable when played as Allied Human. [Size: Very Small; Length: 9 turns]
