#16_08: The South Flank - PzC 05 Bulge '44

Near Wiltz, and along what would be the Southern Flank of the Bulge, Dec 16th, 1944: The German 7th Army was the 'poor cousin' when compared to the other Panzer Armies, yet big things were expected of it. As the Panzers raced to the Meuse, the 7th Army was to cover the flank with three Volksgrenadier and one Parachute Division. The leading companies of the two German assault regiments began crossing the Sauer before dawn. Although weaker than the other armies, the forces that did manage to cross dwarfed the string of US rifle companies guarding this sector of the line. This scenario covers the opening phase of the action on the South Flank and ends with dusk on the second day of the battle. [Size, medium]
