North Africa, January 20th 1941: During the battle for Bardia, the Italians under Generale Annibale 'Electric Whiskers' Bergonzoli had offered bitter resistence holding off the allies for three days. By some miraculous feat he had managed to evade capture and escaped to Tobruk with some 7,000 troops. Upon his arrival in Tobruk he had assumed command of the garrison and prepared the troops for yet another defiant stand. This would mark the first clash of many over the vital fortress of Tobruk.
