The Battle of Grebbeberg, 11 May 1940: Late in the evening of May 10th, after easily cutting
through the lightly held IJssel Line and speeding across Gelderland Province, SS-Standarte "Der
Führer" arrived at the Grebbe Line, the main defensive position of the Dutch Field Army. The
regiment had not yet been seriously tested in battle and, according to some skeptical officers of the
Heer, its men had not been properly trained. Nonetheless the SS men were fanatics who possessed
no shortage of self-confidence. SS-Oberführer Georg Keppler ordered his men to attack the Dutch
Field Army at dawn, without waiting for the support of the slower foot infantry of 207. ID.
Opposite SS-Standarte "Der Führer" the inadequately trained reservists of General Van Loon's 4e
Divisie manned their trenches, nervously awaiting the dawn. [Size: Small] Design note: Much of
Grebbe Line was protected by defensive inundations. In the grand campaign these are represented
as marsh hexes. In this scenario the inundations are marked as impassible to prevent the Allied
player from leveraging his superior numbers into a counterattack across the inundated area. It is
recommended that this scenario be played with the optional "indirect fire" rule - the SS "Der
Führer" received extensive fire support from the artillery battalions of 207. ID.

Dutch have solid defensive positions to hold against German attack and have enough forces to rotate reserves.
Needs further adjustments, either by specific Optional Rules, or by adjustments to Dutch(depict the crumbling moral of the Dutch what let to retreat on 14th) and/or German(better artillery support by corps artillery by adding spotter) forces.
