Foreword:
Many years have passed since Salerno 43 game was launched, it received quality revision by Volcano Man that did improved the old Stock campaign. Since then new information and research has surfaced so this mod is a Variant based on Anzio Main Campaign with new sources and research applied.

House Rules:
Allied Naval units cannot fire from 16.00 until 06.00 next day (Axis bombers caused so much damage to the TF 81 that ships retreated during those hours to avoid night attacks)
Overview. (This battle has 5 phases.)
1-The landing, almost unopposed, with very few Axis forces, historically Lucas was so cautious that allowed the germans to bring in time enough forces to contain the beachhead. To simulate this Allied units are fixed by night during the first 3 days, obstacles are put in place to slow the Allied and some formations arrive Disrupted.
2-The Allied Offensive from 26th January until early February.More Axis reinforcements keep coming to hold the beachhead.
3-First Axis offensive (The Battle of the Thumb) from 4” February to 11th February
4-The lull from 12th February to 15th February
5-Operation Fischfang: Final german attack to “lance the abscess”, trying to reach Anzio from 16th February to 20th February.
Notice that german supply will be lowered to simulate the stockpiling of ammo for the incoming offensives.
Allied got for Opperation Fischfang more airpower and supply levels are increased.
The germans can reach Major Victory (provided casualties VP are somewhat even) by taking Anzio, a Minor Victory taking the historic Allied defensive line.
The Allied can reach Major Victory (provided casualties VP are somewhat even) by keeping all VP locations and a Minor Victory if they hold some locations the Allied couldn't.
