Rogachevo - Dec 6th to Dec 8th, 1941. 3rd Panzergruppe had been forced to detach all its foot infantry to 9th Army to protect the ever lengthening Northern flank. As the Panzergruppe reached the Moskva/Volga Canal it was forced to use its only remaining infantry, the 14th & 36th Motorised Divisions to protect the critical highway from Klin to Rogachevo. Zhukov, flush with Stalin's additional forces heavily reinforced Leliushenko's 30th Army. At dawn on Dec 6th, 30th Army crashed into the dispersed German infantry. (Size, Small) This scenario is ideally a Soviet player against the AI challenge. The Soviet player needs to breakthrough quickly and push for the victory hexes - using his mobile ski & cavalry forces. The Axis player needs to slow the Soviet forces while ensuring that he is not close assaulted too often.
