You will want to consult the "Started.pdf" file found in the main folder of the Japan '45 game - Scenario Briefing: The initial landings on Tanega-Shima had gone well but the defenders had stubbornly resisted and it wasn't until the day following the invasion that the US forces were in a position to take the target: the radar installation at the southern end of the island. Your primary goal will be to take the final objective (radar installation) without incurring significant losses.
