Scenario Briefing: This scenario covers the early attempts of the 48th Panzer Corps to retake Fastov on the 12th thru 13th of November. The Russians had decided on a defensive posture and the German 25th Panzer Division was unequal to the task. "Das Reich" supported the operation by guarding the flank of the armored division and making attacks of their own. Eventually the Germans had to call off the attack. The action gets underway as the scenario opens with both sides at point blank range in front of Fastov!

Germans have more armor in beginning. Russians need to concentrate on holding limited VP's to start.

Good scenario, the result was not decided until the final turns.

Both sides have multiple opportunities to attack and counterattack. Russian numbers versus German quality. A superbly balanced scenario with good replay value!

Though entertaining, I find it difficult to see how the Axis can lose.

The objectives are too close to the German starting positions to hold and the Soviets lack the quality to hold ground for more than a few turns.
