Date: December 19, 1943 - Size: Very Large - Location: Kiev, North-Central Ukraine
Intended for Head to Head play
Scenario Briefing: This scenario covers all of the operations by both sides from 19-22 December. During this period of time the Germans made a northern lunge with the 48th Panzer Korps towards Korosten to further tie in with the forces of the LIX Corps and strengthen that part of the front. At the same time, the Russians made attacks in the center of the front which was a precursor for the big attack planned to occur after Christmas. The Germans accomplished their goals in the north but the center was left without proper reserves. The result was that when the big Soviet counterattack kicked off the Russians would have a much easier time cracking the front wide open.
