Scenario Briefing: This scenario portrays the actions of the X Corps from the invasion up until they would capture Caligara on the north end of the Leyte Valley. Both sides will receive reinforcements during the battle. The Allied player will have several units withdrawn during the course of the battle.
Notes:
1. The US 8th Cavalry Regiment is amphibious so they can conduct a mini-campaign over to Samar Island.
2. The Japanese "Ad Hoc Force" reinforcements enter play three days earlier than their historical date in order to compensate for the lack of a three day halt of operations by the Allied forces due to the Battle of Leyte Gulf disrupting the overall operation.
