Scenario Briefing: This variant of the scenario presumes that Gen. Yamashita decided to defend against the landing at Lingayen Gulf. The forces from northern Luzon have been moved into the central valley in order to contest the Allied drive to Manila and Clark Field.
As a result of the change in Japanese positions, the Allied forces will arrive earlier than their historical dates and times.
