Scenario Briefing: The bulk of the Shinbu Group was dug in up in the hills and mountains east of Manila holding two key dams (Wawa and Ipo) and thus the access to a fresh water supply for the capital. The XIV Corps was tasked with, first, driving the Noguchi Force up further into the hills and, secondly, attacking the left flank of the Kobayashi Force which held the Wawa Dam. After that the attack to take the Ipo Dam, further to the north, would follow.
Can the XIV Corps gain the important objectives or will they fall short as their historical counterparts did?
