Scenario Briefing: The fresh water supply of Manila relied upon the Ipo and Wawa Dams, two vital resources that the Sixth Army needed to take in order to help restore the capital to some semblance of normalcy. The Wawa Dam was chosen as the first objective of the two dams and the US 6th Infantry Division would be selected to lead the offensive.
This scenario covers three days of the fighting to take the Wawa Dam. The offensive kicked off in late March but by late April the heavy terrain, good defensive positions, weakening conditions of the US troops and the tenacious forces of the Kobayashi Force, caused the attack to bog down.
For now the Wawa Dam was out of reach and it would not be until the end of May that the dam would be captured.
Note: Both sides have reduced units to account for previous fighting during the campaign.
Recommended Rules: [Default]
Alternative Assault Resolution, Artillery Set Up, Recon Spotting, Virtual Supply Trucks, Low Visibility Air Effects, Quality Fatigue Modifier, Counterbattery Fire, Night Fatigue, Programmed Weather, Limited Air Recon.
