Scenario Briefing: The first attack by US 38th Infantry Division in late April had failed. This time they would make a combined attack from the west and south. The 151st RCT would hold Mt. Mataba and the gap between the 145th and 152nd RCTs.
Despite a strong artillery bombardment neither regiment was able to gain much ground. The dam would remain in Japanese hands until late May after a final assault had completely decimated the remaining units of the Kobayashi Force.
