Scenario Briefing: By late April the 121st Infantry, USAFIP, NL had taken a large amount of the Bessang Pass area but had become overextended. The Japanese launched a counterattack from the east and south and sent them reeling. Only because a battalion of the 73rd Infantry Regiment was slow to begin their attack did the offensive fail to accomplish its mission.
