This is the Philippines '43 tutorial scenario which is intended to help you learn the Panzer Campaigns series rules and help you become a competent player. You will play the Allied side vs. the defending Axis (Japanese) forces. Please consult the "Started.pdf" file found in the main folder of the Philippines '43 game and follow the instructions to learn how the game series should be played
Scenario Briefing: The X Corps' objective was to land in the Tacloban-Palo area, secure the Tacloban airfield on A-Day, press on to the Leyte Valley as well as link up with XXIV Corps to the south by A+3. To that end the 1st Cavalry Division was tasked with taking the airfield and the town of Tacloban. Defending the various defensive positions was the 33rd Infantry Regiment of the 16th Division along with some Naval units in Tacloban.
