Date: March 6, 1945 - Size: Medium - Location: 204 km South of Budapest.
Intended for Head to Head play.
Scenario Briefing: The German LXXXXI Corps attacked on March 6 from two bridgeheads: Donji Miholjac with two infantry divisions of this Corps, the 297th and 104th, crossed the Drava pressing the Bulgarian 4th Corps and Valpovo where 11th Luftwaffen Field Division crossed Drava river together with two regiments of Cossacks cavalrymen of 1st Cossack Division. During March 8-9 Marshal Tolbukhin ordered two Soviet Rifle Divisions (84th and 122nd) to reinforce the Bulgarian IV Corps.
12th Corps from 3rd Yugoslav Army soon reinforced the defenders. The fighting raged on until 14 March when collapse of other fronts convinced OKW to call offl the offensive and clear the two bridgeheads to send this Corps to try to hold the crumbling areas.
Design Notes: This scenario is a shorter version of #45_0306_07a_LXXXXI_Corps_Into_Yugoslavia, it has less Soviet reinforcements due the date of arrivals. It has less Victory Locations (and lower Victory Threshold).
