Date: March 6, 1945 - Size: Medium - Location: 82 Km SW of Budapest.
Intended for Axis player.
Scenario Briefing:The 1st Cavalry Corps was tasked with the objective of taking both sides of the Sio River and securing the Mezökomarom crossing to support the I SS-Panzer Corps advance towards Simontornya while protecting the left flank of the offensive. The Sio River was a formidable barrier, so its crossings were key to the advance. To further hinder this advance, the ever-present mud not only hampered Axis movements, but also delayed the heavier elements of the 3rd Cavalry Division for a full day. Fierce resistance at the fortified farmhouse on Hill 162 (Agoston Hill) halted the advance on the east side of the Sio River for days, giving the defender ample time to fortify the town of Enying and bring forward his armored reserves.
Design Notes: This scenario features a shorter campaign (78 turns instead of 98) and the Soviet Rifle Divisions have the third battalion of every regiment in play. Notice that Ennying has a supply source. The Soviets will not be isolated in the city as long as the supply hex is under Soviet control This scenario has some Limited Victory Poins locations, check expiration dates in the Info Menu->Objectives.
Recommended Rules: [Default] Alternative Assault Resolution, Artillery Set Up, Recon Spotting, Virtual Supply Trucks, Low Visibility Air Effects, Quality Fatigue Modifier, Counterbattery Fire, Night Fatigue, Programmed Weather, Limited Air Recon.
