Intended for Soviet player.
Scenario Briefing: The III Panzer Corps after capturing Seregélyes and with the arrival of the 3rd Panzer Division advanced towards Oreg Hill and Gardony, from where they were stopped by a massive Soviet air assault. This threatened the rear of the Soviet defense zone in the Soviet 30th Corps area, causing alarm in the Soviet command. The reaction was swift. Marshal Tolbukhin, commander of the 3rd Ukrainian Front, reinforced Lt. Gen. Gagen, commander of the 26th Army, with elements of the 27th Army that were in reserve destined for the upcoming Vienna Offensive Operation including the 207th SU Anti-Tank Brigade, a Task Force from the 23rd Tank Corps and the entire 35th Guards Rifle Corps.
Fierce fighting raged around Oreg Hill, which remained in Soviet hands as the German armored push reached and captured Gardony and was halted in its advance towards Gyorgymajor by the 181st Tank Brigade of the 18th Tank Corps.
Designer Notes: For 10 March (and that day only) Soviets received the help of ground attack elements of 5th Air Army.
Recommended Rules: [Default] Alternative Assault Resolution, Artillery Set Up, Recon Spotting, Virtual Supply Trucks, Low Visibility Air Effects, Quality Fatigue Modifier, Counterbattery Fire, Night Fatigue, Programmed Weather, Limited Air Recon.
