Date: March 12, 1945 - Size: Small Location: Valpovo 210 km South of Budapest.

Scenario Briefing: From 12 March 12th Corps from Yugoslav's 3rd Army and elements from Soviet 57th Army launched determined counterattacks against the LXXXXI Corps (11th Luftwaffen Field Division and elements of 1st Cossack Division) located on the north bank of the Drava. The fighting in the bridgehead for the last week had been heavy (the Yugoslavs lost at least 660 KIA, 2331 WIA, and 275 MIA, the 11th Luftwaffen Field Division some 200 KIA and 500-800 WIA -there are no reliable figures for the 1st Cossack nor missing LW-). Under such pressure and the situation in Southern Bosnia had becoming alarmingly worse, on 14 March LXXXXI Corps was ordered to clear the bridgeheads, and to take the troops back behind the Drava (it took them a week more to comply).
