Date: March 13, 1945 - Size: Small - Location: 90 km SW of Budapest.

Scenario Briefing: The 12th SS-Panzer Divsion gained a small bridgehead across the Sio canal, west of Simontornya, on March 12. The Soviets launched immediate but not strong enough counterattacks and the bridgehead was successfully defended throughout March 12 by the 26th PanzerGrenadier Regiment and the 12th Panzer Aufklärungs Battalion.
On March 13, elements of the 1st SS-Panzer Division (I./PanzerGrenadier Regiment 1 and Panzer Aufklärungs Battalion 1) arrived along with tanks and engineers from the 12th SS-Panzer Division to reinforce the attack towards Mosi Hill, the dominant elevation in the area, and the Canal crossings above the village of Nemedi. The initial assault succeeded in reaching Mosi Hill but were stopped at Point 253 as the Soviets continued to launch attacks on the small bridgehead. Fighting continued for 36 hours on the hill and at the canal crossings and finally the German spearhead was stopped on March 15.
The next day the Soviets launched the Vienna Offensive and the bridgehead was evacuated shortly thereafter.
