Scenario Briefing: After the exhausting battle of Saregres, the 23rd Panzer Division moved towards Cece with the help of elements of the 1st SS-Panzer Division (SS-Panzer Grenadier Regiment 2 and SS-PanzerJäger Battalion 1), the village dominated the crossing of the Sio Canal and was destined to be the meeting point between the I SS-Panzer Corps and the II SS-Panzer Corps.
Fierce Soviet resistance turned every meter into a painful advance. Finally the Germans reached the western suburbs of Cece, pushing the Soviet defenders to the east side of the Sárviz Canal, but they could not dislodge the defenders and the Sárviz and Sio Canals proved impenetrable to them.
This marked the furthest advance of both the 1st SS-Panzer Division and the 23rd Panzer Division during Spring Awakening.
Note: After reaching a maximum of 280 sorties in support of the 23rd Panzer Division on March 13 during the fighting at Saregres, all air support assigned to this sector for both sides was redirected to the Simontornya hills.
Recommended Rules: [Default] Alternative Assault Resolution, Artillery Set Up, Recon Spotting, Virtual Supply Trucks, Low Visibility Air Effects, Quality Fatigue Modifier, Counterbattery Fire, Night Fatigue, Programmed Weather, Limited Air Recon.
