[Perati, Albania]:[20 November, 1940]:[Italian Defend/Greek Advance]: After 3 weeks of fighting, the legions of the Italian Army were in the midst of a humiliating defeat. The Greeks, for their part, had no intention of letting the Italians off the hook. As soon as possible, they launched a counterattack. In most areas the Greeks met with initial success due to the low quality of the Italian defenders. The 1st Frontier Division, however, clashed along the Vojussa River with one of the best units in the Italian Army. The river crossing was guarded by a detachment of the Julia Alpini supported by artillery and machineguns.
