The Soviets are enjoying manoeuvrability and immense fire power in this one - it's the early stage of the conflict so the resistance don't know how to handle some larder combined arms operations.

Well, this is the early stage of the war - the mujahedin hadn't worked out the proper tactics so they had to make do with their zeal and commitment so does the resistance player have to.
