Polyanva - Steel Panthers: World War 2

With the German Armies badly under strength in December 1941 after continuous fighting in Operation Typhoon the
Russians began their counter attack north of Moscow.
The Germans here represent a small mixed under strength group retreating in the snow and
temperatures which are greatly below freezing, as night is approaching they are looking
for shelter for the night.To find none means probably freezing to death in the open and so there is
no alternative.
This tiny village of Polyanva seems to offer such shelter, unfortunately a full
strength Russian mixed combat unit has the same idea.
The question is who will succeed in gaining the shelter of these small peasant
huts. A intense firefight is sure to break out between these two opposing forces.
Although this is a fictitious scenario it is meant to represent many of these samll combats which
took place at the time in December 1941 north of Moscow.
The scenario ends as night begins to fall and either side could hold the village or even part of it.
