As the advance towards Warsaw continued, it soon stood clear to the Germans that the infantry was not able to keep pace with the armored units. The cooperation between armor, infantry and artillery did not work as smoothly as the Germans had thought it would. The infantry and armor were given different tasks, as on September 5, when 5.PzBrig took advantage of the advance of the 1.PzDiv to the right, and 12. SchRgt attacked to the left of the main axis of advance, securing the divisions left flank. [email protected]
