9th SS Panzer Attacks - The Matrix Games version of East Front II

(Division Level Scenario) - 9th SS Panzer Division, augmented by attachments from 4th SS Panzer Corps, launches a deliberate attack against elements of 8th Guards Army in hasty defense behind a river in this hypothetical scenario. Your mission is to capture the major industrial center located on the map, other secondary objectives and render Guard units in this sector combat ineffective while preserving as much of your force as possible for critical future operations. German Army Intelligence reports that the major portion of a full strength Guard's Rifle Division, probably the 33rd, reinforced by other Guards Army and Corps units are present and defending this sector of the front. Limited tactical air support is available but be aware neither side currently has mastery of the air.
