(Best played as Allied) The Soviet's naval infantry of the northern fleet were masters of special operations. Working north of the Artic Circle, they conducted raids, long range recon, scouting missions, and supported partisian activities. They operated in any weather and were inserted by sea, land, or by parachute. In this scenario, the "Black Devils" as the Germans called them, are ordered to raid the Norweigan Varanger peninsula. With 24 hours of darkness, visibility is near zero. The mission is to disrupt the German's coastal outposts, and capture "tounges" for interegation by the NKVD. Capturing Jagers and destroying their outposts is half the battle. But forgetting to return to the boats and exfiltrate safely to Murmansk means failure and a frozen death. Based on operations recounted in the book "Blood On The Shores, Soviet SEALs in World War II," by Viktor Leonov.
