(Best played as Axis) During the battle of Kursk, the right flank of the attack out of Belgorod was tasked to Army Detachment Kempf, led by General Werner Kempf. The original aim of his thrust, had been in the direction of Korocha, but as the battle developed, it was determined that if Kemp's forces could turn more northward and catch up with the main thrust of II SS Hausser, they might provide the impetus to achieve a breakthough at Prokhorovka, and thus on to Kursk itself. Kempf's forces had gotten off to a slow start thanks to powerful Soviet defences and difficult terrain. However, thanks to the 503rd Heavy Panzer Detachment, by the 10th of July progress had been made towards capturing Rzhavets, with the possibility of cutting off a salient pointed towards Belgorod filled with several Soviet Guards Divisions. The task here is to capture the way to Rzhavets and orchastrate a breakthrough past elements of the Soviet 69th Army, to meet up with efforts ot the 4th Panzer Army and clear the way towards aiding II Hausser as their aim becomes directed at a train station in Prokhorovka.
