Around and Around We Go - The Matrix Games version of East Front II

Hypothetical Scenario - Late in 1943 as the Germans desperately tried to keep the Russians at bay, several ill advised offensives were planned as Hitler still insisted the Russians were near collapse and that all it was going to take was one more offensive. One of these offensives was launched on October 6th around the city of Glastow. Elements of the 25th Panzer division, expecting light resistance, ran smack into the 11th Guards Rifle Division. Over the next two days the two forces slugged it out with neither getting a commanding hold of the city. A relatively peaceful 9th was spent by both sides replenishing their manpower and resting. As dawn broke on a drizzly 10th of October, the remaining elements of the 25 Panzer Division arrived in support. However, this advantage never materialized as the Russians had their own cavalry arriving as well in the form of the 3rd Guards Tank Corps. The battle was now joined both within the city and outside it!
