Training Scenario 1: [Play as Allies] The Germans' bid to conquer our beloved Mother Russia has ended in a miserable failure! They have run out of gas, bullets and warm bodies, well short of their goal of Moscow. Now, since early December, reserves from the Far East - like your command of Siberian skiers - have helped to turn the tide against the Fascist invaders. It will not be easy, nor a bloodless struggle, to expel these Hitlerites from our soil. However, it is every Russian patriot's duty to be willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice. Today it is your duty, and the duty of your company of ski troops, to liberate the village of Podvoritsa from the Nazi grip. A heavy snow is falling, reducing visibility to just over 1 km (about 5 hexes).
