[This scenario is intended to be played with the Blitzkrieg EFII expansion pack installed] [3 vs. 3 Teamgame] Location : 25 km east of Dresden. Two weeks ago the Soviet army crossed the Neise river and begand preparations for a strong attack in the direction Dresden. Yesterday, Several Soviet Guards RIfle divisions managed to punch two holes in the defensive lines of the Panzer Korps Grossdeutschland. Soon the 8th Guards Tank and 8 Mechanised Corps were thrown into these breaches and were seeking to exploit the initial gains. In wooded hills before them they found isolated groups of stragglers and parts of thrown-together units. But this was a false picture! North and south of them two divisons were putting together mobile battlegroups with the objective of sealing the breach and halting the offensive in it's tracks. After a full day of fighting, the Soviet commander decided the terrain was not worth the casualities and choose to preserve his strength for the impending attack on Berlin. For the germans this was a pyrrhic victory as they squandered the bulk of their strength and were forced to retreat further to Dresden.
-Attacker has far fewer and less quality units than the defender.
-Map size is ridiculous compared with the power of the attacker.
-VP values and victory conditions are totally out of sync with force sizes.
-Placement of bunkers and mines and blocks as well as the German force mix have a very "constructed feel" about them.
Conclusion: NOT recommended.
