0130 Hrs. - Germans have infiltrated into the Russian rear guard using captured Russian trucks. And are now close assualting sentries at the two bridges to Dvinsk. Army Group North must have these strategic bridges. German engineer assault units must hold them until relieved. The Russians have been surprised but must not allow these bridges to be captured. The Russian wins an automatic Decisive Victory if the both bridges are destroyed (highway and railroad bridges). The Russian wins an automatic Marginal Victory is the highway bridge is destroyed. This is an historical account of the battle for these bridges at Dvinsk.
