Musino, 8km SSW of Klin, 75km NNW of Moscow: [Best played by any method] In an attempt to flank and capture the Russian capital, the German army's points of attack were shifted from the Smolensk-Moscow highway. One pincer moved up from the south through Tula and the other down from the north through Klin. Meanwhile, Russian reinforcements from the east were just beginning to arrive. One of these units was the 44th Mongolian Cavalry Division which was directed to the area just south of Klin. On the morning of November 17th, 1941, the regiment had infiltrated the front to a point where it was threatening the German 107th Artillery Regiment, of the 240th Infantry Division.
