Szekesfeherver, 30km SW of Budapest, Hungary: [Best played against Human opponent] This is the fourth scenario in a series of scenarios dealing with Operation Konrad I, II, and III. With the premature cancellation of Konrad II, the 4th SS Panzer-Korps deployed to the south of Szekesfeherver to try and relieve the Budapest Garrision from the south. With the rest of the 4th SS Panzer-Korps fighting a wild melee to the south, the 1st Panzer Division was tasked with capturing Szekesfeherver from the 69th Guards Rifle Division. Expecting heavy resistance the entire division was tasked with breaking into the city and freeing up the flank of the SS troopers. In the early hours of the 21st General Thunert broke his division into four "kampfgruppen" and ordered the attack on the dug-in Guardsmen. Within hours the city was a rubbled mess as both sides vied furiously for control of its now-ruined buildings.

What a great battle this one turns out to be! Cats fighting in the streets and rubble, and heavy ivan defenses make this a tense, excting battle!

One of the most bloody casualty heavy scenarios I have ever encountered...lots of toe to toe bunker defense and long heavy artillery barrages from both sides...with a great mixture of armour and AT weapons...and plenty of leaders to go around this scenario should please any Blitz member who wishes to participate in his own nasty little "Stalingrad"

Totally agree with the two previous posts.
I've never played a more intense battle. Very challanging and thrilling due to limited LOS in the town.

With EA on, IMHO, the scenario is an exercise in futility for the German.
