Zamoly, 10km N of Szekesfeherver, Hungary: [Best played against Human opponent] This is the second scenario is a series of scenarios dealing with Operation Konrad I, II, and III. December 1944 saw the 2nd and 3rd Ukranian Fronts encircle 70,000 troops of the 9th SS Gebirgs Korps in Budapest. Never one to shirk from a "prestige battle", Hitler ordered the 4th SS Panzer Korps from eastern Germany south to relieve Budapest. Operation Konrad I was launched early on New Year's day, spearheaded by the crack Waffen-SS panzer divisions "Totenkopf" and "Wiking", alongside numerous Army panzer divisions. By 5 January Konrad I had stalled outside of Biscke. While the 4th SS Panzer Korps redeployed in the north, the 1st Cavalry Korps launched Konrad II west of Csakvar. On the morning of the 6th, Kampfgruppe Kramer, a mixed reconnaissance force from the 3rd Panzer Division and 4th Cavalry Brigade, push forward against light opposition. Their objective was to push aside enemy resistance along the major road junctions and gain crossings over the Csaszarouz Canal.
