During the second week of July 1943, The Russian Army launched three counteroffensive to divert Germans from pressing forward with the attack on the Kursk salient: Orel, Izyum and Mius river. I think that long range visibility favours Germans. At some point after placing my Tigers I had just to wait to opfire to do its job. However nice terrain and good mix of forces make it good scenario.
A fantastic scenario with lots of Stategic and Tactical options for both sides....The Russian Artillery is quite deadly but the German Tigers tip the scales slightly towards the Axis side......
German armor out-ranges the Soviets and their line-of-sight makes it brutal for the Russians, who have to stay out of sight until the Germans get close, which they must to take the objectives. Different challenges for both sides.
Resolve then, that on this very ground, with small flags waving and tinny blasts on tiny trumpets, we shall meet the enemy, and not only may he be ours, he may be us. --Walt Kelly
Both sides have advantages. LOS and long-range gunnery favor the Axis. However, the Allied player has the advantage in numbers of AFVs and terrain. If the Allied player is conservative with his armor, it can be very difficult for the Axis player to achieve anything better than a draw.
