Dash to Kalinin - The Matrix Games version of East Front II

This is version 1.02 of this scenario and is best played against human opponent or as axis (the AI does not seem to handle the axis side very well). The 1st Panzer Division of the XXXI Corps is given the mission of capturing the bridges at Kalinin and then making a turn towards Torzhok to trap the Russian forces between them and the 9th Army. The lead elements of the division are in position to make the daring "Dash to Kalinin". The speed and surprise of the advance was so complete that the Kalinin trolleys were still running when the lead elements of the German Panzer Division entered the city. This battle also marked one of the first times that civilians took part in the battle (partisans) This scenario was generated by one of the campaign battles. Most of the officers are named after the people who participated in the first ever Blitz Club campaign tournament. Also one officer is named for Dorffman who graciously helped with the testing.
