Armeegruppe "Woehler", reinforced by fresh units from Budapest, pocketed Cavalry-Mechanized Group "Pliyev" near Derbercen, Hungary in October, 1944. "Pliyev" and the 6th Guards Tank Army struck back from the west and east resulting in one of the wildest melees of the war. RUSSIAN: Attack aggressively to eliminate the wedge the Woehler Battle Group has thrown between your forces. You have a 2:1 superiority in tank units, over 3:1 superiority in infantry units, and are attacking from 2 sides. Use terrain for the best cover from fire during the attack approaches. GERMAN: Inflict maximum losses and hold the tactical objectives until the scenario time limit is reached.
