Petersta, 24km ESE of Odessa: [Best Played vs Human Opponent]: The lead regiment of the Rumanian 14th Infantry Division had broken through the outpost locations of the Russian 25th Infantry Division to the west of Petersta. Seeing the outposts under heavy attack, the Russians pulled back over the Burahvy River and headed into the main line of defence at Petersta and the hills overlooking the little town. Advancing under a barrage of artillery, the Rumanians advanced with the goal of seizing a bridgehead over the river, Petersta and capturing the hills. Determined Russian resistance, heavy artillery and the constant chatter of machine guns would make this a daunting task...

Very entertaining scenario
Nice close infantry combat
Russians were just a little bit too strong. In my opinion a draw would have been nice

I was wondering if this scenario was designed before engineers could construct light bridges. There are only a few river crossings. I used my engineers to increase the number of river crossings.

Some small challenges for the axis, but the allies don't seem to have any real stopping power except for their artillery. In the end, not nearly enough.
