[Vistula River, Poland] [AXIS/ALLIED] [HISB] [GD]

Pocketing Action:

Vistula River Line: With the start of the Russian offensive on January 12, 1945, breakouts were achieved all along the Vistula River with the aid of massive artillery barrages. Intact defending units, as in all overwhelming offensives, often found themselves in danger of encirclement.

In this situation, the German 117th Armored Reconnaissance Battalion races to safety with disordered mobile units of the Russian 56th Guards Cavalry Regiment and 11th Tank Corps in hot pursuit.

Another which is not the worst of the bunch. Soviets can beat back the advancing German hordes with some tactics and an understanding of the rules.

Oh my! A real stinker. Poor Germans have to run the gauntlet of overwhelming Soviet hordes. Needs something. Like German armor or less Soviets to help balance this one out. It was over by turn three. Possibly turn two. Most likely in the translation.
