Dubno, Ukraine (Best played as German): As von Kleist's Panzergruppe I makes its opening drive through the northern Ukraine, they run into a determined line of resistance near the town of Dubno. The delay gives the Soviet 5th and 6th Armies time to mass five more tank corps to strike the German spearhead from almost every side. Although these attacks were badly coordinated, the combined four-day battle would constitute history's largest tank engagement until the battle of Kursk in 1943. One of the strongest of these counterattacks was mounted from the southwest by the 8th Mechanized Corps against the rear and flank of the 16th Panzer Division, mounting a significant number of the new KV-1 and T-34 battle tanks. Have the panzers finally met their match?

The victory conditions need some major work for play balance. The Soviets are in a big victory point hole from the get go. Not only do they have to capture all the VP hexes they have to destroy most of the German force all in 8 turns. Its a 10 turn scenario but it takes 2 turns for the Soviets just to move on the board which doesn't help.
Looking at the victory conditions at first it appeared the Soviets had a hard road ahead. But when the German armor was eliminated it was impossible for the Germans to stop the Soviet horde. When that happened it was just a series of match-ups and overruns to grab the victory. Scenario may need some work from the German order of battle side.
