Ponyri - The Matrix Games version of East Front II

The ramshackle village of Ponyri has become the focus of attention. Both sides after the battle liken it to a mini Stalingrad. The Germans want to break through the Soviet defence lines to release their panzers to the open ground to roll up the Russian line. They pour armour and men into the fight, the Russians are just as determined to resist the pressure. It's dawn and the battle has just started, some engineers are already trying to clear the extensive mines, for the Germans there is no rush, use your smoke and try to break out, for the Russians hold where you are. To recreate some likeness to the original most of the formations have been reduced to make the scenario manageable in East Front.
