Radomysl, 94km W of Kiev: [Best played against Human opponent, or as Allies] With the loss of Kiev on 6 November and the disaster in Fastov on the 9th, German forces in the northern Ukraine were retreating before the Soviet 68th Army. The mobile forces of 23rd Panzer Division fought a series of delaying actions along the principle road that ran from Kiev to Zhitomir. In this last of the delaying actions the 51st Panzer Pioneers dug in to allow a river line defense to organize at Radomysl on the River Teterev. Here among the small logging and farming communities the streams, marshes, and swamps formed a natural bottleneck that the Germans hoped to exploit in order to slow the advance of the Soviet Army before they, too, retreated to Radomysl.

Engineers against T-34s & SMGs: tough battle
A lot depends on when the German panzer grenadier regiment is released. On time, means tough job for Soviets. Too late, makes German player sweating.
