Moscow: [Hypothetical, best played as Axis or against Human opponent] For the past week, the 3rd Panzer Group has driven south, through the suburbs, into the heart of Moscow, the capture of which, it is assumed, will bring about the collapse of Stalin, the Soviet government, and perhaps the end of the war. The fighting has been fierce and casualties high. The Germans, far from their supply source and stymied by the increasingly poor weather, have received only a trickle of reinforcements. The Soviet troops, still cut off from the east and now isolated by the destruction of the last remaining bridges over the Moskva River, have received almost none. But now, for the Germans, time is crucial. Siberian reinforcements from the Urals threaten to break through to the city. As a result, the 1st Panzer Division will leave the field tomorrow morning to assist VI Panzer corps in the east. For the Germans, it is now or never. This hypothetical scenario is the second of two depicting the German final assault on Moscow.
