SS Panzer Brigade Gross - The Matrix Games version of East Front II

South of Tuckum, Lithuania, August 20, 1944. With the situation in the Baltic States being critical, SS Panzer Brigade Gross is formed from several training units and piecemeal veteran units, led by Obersturmbannfuhrer Martin Gross. Communication with Army Group Nord in Estonia had been severed by the Soviet summer offensives. The front needed to be stabilized immediately. Gross along with several other units made a series of attacks in order to accomplish this objective. Initial successes were very promising. This scenarion features the newly formed Brigade going into action for the first time, to seize the rail sidings south of Tuckum. The Brigade will be supported by Sturmgeschutz Battalion 202 and the naval guns of the Prinz Eugen. Several Soviet tank units are known to be in the vicinity, German tactics and leadership naturally need to be impeccable.
