State Farm 79, 100km W of Stalingrad: [Best played against Human opponent] As General Manstein struggled to break through to the beleaguered Sixth Army at Fortress Stalingrad, the Russian forces attempted to cut his formations off around State Farm 79. As the 97th Guards Tank Brigade prepared to attack, General Balck, commanding the 11th Panzer Division, prepared a surprise of his own for the Russians. Leaving only the 209th Engineer Battalion and some 88mm guns to mask his move, he sent his tanks in a wide sweeping arc to strike the Soviets' exposed flank.
