Von Knobelsdorff directs the German 68th Panzer Corps in a massive armored attack against the formidable defences of the Russian 67th Guards Rifle Division in and around Cherkasskoye. The attack has started badly with the 200 Panthers of 10th Panzer Brigade stuck in a Minefield waiting to be rescued by the Engineers.
